The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) anticipates grant and contract solicitations to be published beginning in fall 2009 for comparative effectiveness research projects with $300 million in funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. AHRQ anticipates funding to commence in spring, 2010.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services is announcing the availability of funds under its grant program to assist researchers in conducting health services research for 2009. The purpose of the Hispanic grant program is to implement Hispanic American health services research activities to meet the needs of diverse CMS beneficiary populations. Funding is available for grants to implement research related to health care delivery and health financing issues affecting Hispanic American communities. Eligible researchers may request $100,000 per year for up to two years for these grants.
