Goal

Advise schools, school districts and communities on how to effectively develop, implement and evaluate school and district policies and programs that address childhood obesity in low-income minority schools.

Deliverables

Collect and share promising practices, policy recommendations, tools and advice for effectively implementing the USDA's HealthierUS School Challenge in low-income minority schools across the country; issue a report of findings drawn from content shared at inaugural meeting, lessons learned through implementation of the grant program, additional research, and ongoing input from advisory committee members; broadly disseminate and share findings with a variety of audiences and stakeholders including the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Minority Health and other federal agencies.
