Second Annual HIV Awareness Day Fair

Abstract: Participants will sign in at 5 p.m. A welcome will be given by Coordinator, Emma Munoz. We will have several motivational speakers; some of them will be giving their testimony of what it is to have HIV. We will be serving hot dogs, sodas, cookies, chips, etc. to the participants. Games will be played and incentives will be given to the participants. Preventing HIV will be the primary educational topic. Participants will be encouraged to test. One of our partnerships, The El Paso Department of Public Health will assist with testing.

HIV and the HBCU Campus

Abstract: This is the fourth session in a series of in-depth trainings that examine the clinical, behavioral, and psycho-social factors influencing the risk for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) on HBCU campuses. Participants will explore, learn, and role-play effective HIV prevention counseling techniques during this session. This training is free, and includes continental breakfast, lunch, and training materials. Advance registration is required by Wednesday, July 25. Attendance is limited to the first 25 registrants.
