Description: Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), a three hospital, Harvard-affiliated public health system that includes 12 primary care and multidisciplinary sites, 4 school based clinics, and the Public Health Department for the City of Cambridge, is transforming itself into an Accountable Care Organization (ACO), and seeks a Senior Vice President/Chief Quality Officer (SVP/CQO) to spearhead the further development of a state-of-the-art, multidisciplinary Quality program and lead its deployment. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer and in collaboration with CHA Senior Leadership, the SVP/CQO of CHA establishes and implements the Quality agenda for the organization, which includes the processes and systems of Quality planning, monitoring, improvement, and reporting. The SVP/CQO is responsible for overseeing inpatient and ambulatory Quality activities, including those for behavioral health services. He or she oversees Infection Control, Risk Management, Patient Safety, Quality Management, Performance Improvement, Quality Analytics, and Regulatory and Accreditation. Strong candidates will have an MD or advanced RN degree, senior Quality leadership experience, solid understanding of ACOs, Meaningful Use, the Patient Centered Medical Home model, population health management, and risk management. Expertise with Lean practice and principles and experience with safety net and/or public sector institutions is desirable. We strongly encourage women and minorities to apply.
