Through Health Equity Change Makers, the Office of Minority Health highlights compelling personal stories that illustrate the far-reaching work to address health disparities -- and the ways that we all, as individuals, in our families and communities, and as a nation -- are making change happen every day. Health Equity Change Makers are not just people in the spotlight, whose faces are well known and whose work is lauded. Health Equity Change Makers are also everyday people who have been personally affected by health disparities, and who have used their experience to raise awareness and inspire change. While we have made great strides toward health equity, there is more work to be done to reduce health disparities and improve health outcomes for all Americans. We all have the ability to be Health Equity Change Makers. We know there are thousands of powerful and inspiring stories in every community., The Office of Minority Health invites you to share your stories of change. We also encourage you to visit the Health Equity Change Makers toolkit to learn more about what you can do to help advance health equity in your community. |
