Black History Month Graphics
During the month of February, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Minority Health (OMH) is celebrating the achievements of African Americans and honoring the significant role and impact they have made on all facets of life and society throughout U.S. history. OMH will partner with fellow Offices of Minority Health at HHS and healthcare professionals around the nation to highlight the impacts COVID-19 has on African Americans with underlining health issues such as uncontrolled hypertension. The focus will also be on preparing communities for the vaccine and promoting the continued practice of COVID-19 safety measures, including the three Ws: Wear your mask, Watch your distance and Wash your hands and also avoid crowds and poorly ventilated areas.
